What a special privilege to celebrate the 75th anniversary of this amazing Troop

We definitely were sad that Mr.Hasbrouck and others were not physically present with us to commemorate this historic event.

We had such a wonderful time The 75th Committee and Myself wanted to express, gradatude to the Ladies and gentlemen, young people, and old that traveled to attend the event today .

This celebration was fantastic, the committee and scouts that planned this event  did an amazing job!!

Guest!!  We Thank you all for helping celebrate this amazing anniversary event, It is with pride we stand proud and look forward as we continue our pursuit of the goal of our cherished organization and that we move forward with positivity .

Troop 48 was founded in 1946, and in that time we have had countless families be involved with our troop many leaving a Legacy, we hope that the guest that were in attendance felt the same enjoyment today as they have had in the past.

Many past Eagle’s joined us today. Troop 48 has had 165 Eagle Scouts,  and many others that did not earn the distinguished rank of eagle, BUT walked away with leadership, encouragement , and growth from memories.

It’s not always about the badge but is always about the amazing Journey

Since 1946, we have with pride built Troop 48 to now be the biggest Troop in the council and all of our scouts would say the best !!

Today we celebrated the great achievement, of Troop 48 and its Members who can be rightly proud.

We celebrated Mr.Hasbrouck in his absence, Mr. Hasbrouck was Scoutmaster for 56 years of the Troops 75 years , he was  a large part of this historic moment, Today we celebrated him Today we celebrated

Mr. Hasbrouck’s leadership and his 56 years of service to Boy Scouts of America:

1964-1971 Pack 48 Committee Chairman

1970-1974 Asst Scoutmaster , Troop 48

1974-2020 Troop48 Scoutmaster

2008-present Venture Crew 48 committee Chairman

Mentoring 137 Eagle Scouts

In the past year, the COVID-19 pandemic. has been the cause of many changes and because of that we have missed his guidance, but we are happy to have the opportunity to celebrate him today

His Inequality has impowered many ! His integrity and leadership have encouraged The leadership we have today, young and old

All Past and present scouts Your courage, and Commitment and actions have already made a difference for good

Today, we celebrated seeing a growing momentum for positive change, from young people.

Leading with love and hope The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them with  the values of the oath and law

Together, Troop 48 is confident that we can emerge from COVID-19 continue with positive growth for another 75 years

Please stay tuned for some professional photos from Mrs Brandby

20210816 CHPC COVID PROTOCOL UPDATE

Greetings;

As shared in at the court of honor

Our Troop worked hard to work with our charter as we have for 75 years to offer a proper productive experience.

We have enjoyed multiple different activities and events yes unfortunately some have been canceled, changed and post dated over this very odd covid year but we pushed through when others did not

As numbers have been caped and protocol has been mandated again

I understand that many people may not agree with the mask mandate however

I thank you for your support and willingness to work with the church they have a special team working with the section that have developed a plan, this  is something I would like to address

With rising numbers we will have another change we will be able to meet on church grounds however we will not be able to continue with indoor meetings we will not have to wear masks when outside but will only have access to the office and a bathroom. The office use will be available in rotation .

I am praying that this recent change will be short lived ( we are looking at October) with 100 people coming together from multiple different counties and school district we we look at the uptick in covid cases and it’s currently bad.

The urgent cares are overwhelmed with testing and if we do not work together taking small steps to stop the spreading of this virus we could have to go back to even more restrictions .

Let’s work together to address this situation positively noting that we have a meeting place that supports and encourages our progress and has done so throughout multiple different changes, The church is letting us use their building as our own; let’s proceed accordingly teaching our youth understanding and respect and appreciation while offering grace to a difficult situation while  wearing a mask. Note :The meeting policy until October 1, 2021, or longer if covid surge continues.
Effective immediately, we are not allowed to use any of the church meeting rooms for Meetings Troop 48  will overcome and adapt  additional information will be provided.
Note We can use the restrooms by the Scout closet but no other interior spaces. Adult leaders can enter the Jones Building to get supplies but should not stay inside.
However, we can continue to use any and all church grounds for outdoor meetings and they are leaving the vans outside the awning so we can use that space when it rains.
For our planned Pack meeting and new parent intro,For Pack 348 is  on 8/31, anyone who can be available to help please do so. We need to support or Scouting family
The plan is  we can convert to an outdoor meeting and spread out in the parking lot and/or under the awning. We can definitely plan some fun outdoor activities like softball, kickball and soccer
Thanks for all of your leadership and patience as we respond to this complicated situation.
We got this !!!

CHPC Building Map with Patrol Locations

It’s important that ALL in attendance wear masks or have a medical note, do not attend if they are having any COVID systems, take attendance including adults and take temperatures
Scouts May not be in any area of the church that is used by the Day School
Cleaning and sanitizing all areas uses. Patrols will have designated meeting area they have to meet in the same area the church dose not want to cross contaminate. Rooms of use 103, 107  and the Office 103A off 107 the Boys bathroom off 107/103A ; The kid connection room and the coffee shop .
They did not want Fox patrol in the locker room ( bottom of steps ) so have offered the use of the back chorus room area all the way in the back of the youth center off 103 this is room 101 we have to figure out an entry point .
FYI: 103- is to use the locker room step area not to walk trough 107
It’s important that they do not touch or use any of the games toys or activities in the youth room and that everyone is to use their own entrance.
After meeting has started the scouts that need to go to the office May use the 103 A entrance ONLY 5 people may be in the office at anytime
I understand there was some confusion with why we were doing things the way we were Tuesday and I ask you to please just be patient with the procedure as we are doing everything we can to work together with our charter organization to follow their code.
