TROOP 48 BSA PATROL CheckList

August 30th cooking Demo Cooking: Come prepared to see Leadership blend 3 ingredients into an amazing meal !!!

Note: if you were not in attendance at COH please see Mr.Hasler pick up patches, merit badges, and recognitions.

Voting for In-House, Troop 48 Merit Badge Classes is open. Ballots will be handed out during meetings from now through September 2022. Each scout will get to vote one time for the top 12 merit badges they would like to see offered during Troop 48 meetings. Please complete a ballot and return them to Mr. Browning by the end of September 2022.

The ballot is also available online to print and complete. Write in “Citizenship in Society” if you would like the new Eagle Required merit badge.

As you know, one of our goals is “TO KEEP THE OUTING IN SCOUTING!

Each year we prepare a calendar for the next year.  For 2023, let’s say we will have a proposed calendar ready for the Patrol Leaders Council to review and approve at the October 25th PLC.  That gives us time to make revisions and have the calendar ready to distribute early in December.  Mr. Browning has agreed to oversee this process and collect ballots.

The ballot will be made available in two ways, a hand-out at regular meetings and by download. Please plan for your “team” to review the ballot during patrol corners and return them to Mr. Browning between now and October 18th. “TEAMS” are our patrols, the Leadership Corps, and the registered adult leaders. Each person should vote for two “Super Activities” for Calendar Year 2024, and ten other outings for Calendar Year 2023. Returned ballots must have a name and no more than 10 regular outings and 2 Super Activities marked, or they will not be counted. Please place your completed ballots in the “Ballot” box at Mr. Browning’s station.

Remember, A Scout is Loyal but is also Brave. Don’t be afraid to step out of the comfort of old reliable outings and accept the adventures and challenges of untested outings. There are lots of outings to surmount.
