Wilderness Road Scavenger Hunt
Enjoy the summer with your Patrol.
Follow the Wilderness Road of Sullivan County. Find and explore the historical sites. Document your journey in your own creative, original manner. Satisfy requirements for Citizenship in Community and Nation MB’s.
Rules:
- Respect private property.
- Full patrol participation, not just one or two scouts.
- Document via photos, slideshow, video, speech, digital graphics, etc.
- Patrols will present their work at the October plc- or before Shooting Fair.
- Prizes will be awarded to winning submissions.

CDC Summer Camp 2022 (Jun 19-25) – Sign up for classes!
2022 is Camp Davy Crockett’s 50th Anniversary! Class schedule has been announced – and now open for registration.
2022_Merit_Badge_Class_Signup_Worksheet
Scouts can sign up for classes once the $26 youth deposit is paid to Mr. Browning. Paper copies of the sign-up worksheet will be in the wire racks which need to be given to Mr. Hasler for your choices, including preferred time slot. Most classes have a hard maximum of 25 students with as few as six allowed for Archery. Some classes have minimum age limitation, while others have fees to cover the cost of supplies. For new scouts (joining November 2021 or later) or those who need a boost, half-day Eagle Bound focuses on the skills needed for early ranks. Troop 48 also recommends Swimming merit badge as underpinning for all water activities. (Note to parents: Swimming also ensures your scout showers at least once a day.) From there, pick activities which sound interesting to you.
Full are: 9am Crockett’s Wild Frontier Marksmanship Program, Fishing, Robotics, Water Sports, and Welding. 10am Cooking, Emergency Prep, and Fly Fishing are Full. 11am Chess, Engineering, Mammal Study, and Motorboating are Full. 2pm Full are Archery, Rifle Shooting, Water Sports, and Welding. 4pm Water Sports. 5pm Snorkeling BSA. Wait List option does allow you to sign up for/hold an alternative. Check out this Class Attendees Report on Pages 4-6 for Week 2 to what is available.

CDC Summer Camp 2021 (June 20-26) – Sign up for classes!
Sequoyah Council class registration for 2021 summer camps. This link is the class schedule which returns to the historical arrangement of three slots in the morning and three in the afternoon (plus Mile Swim). No evening classes are being offered.

- 3pm Astronomy, BSA Stand Up Paddleboarding, Oceanography
- 4pm – All classes, except Insect Study, are FULL: Archaeology, Medicine, Water Sports, Wilderness Survival
- 5pm Mile Swim, BSA Snorkeling
- Also Wilderness First Aid Certification

Take advantage of the significant fun and experiences offered by Camp Davy Crockett.

For those who have purchased a Crockett Card from Sequoyah Council, please let Mr. Hasler know to enter into your registration to cover the $280 youth camping fee. Any activity charges are still handled through Troop 48.
