PATROL MEETING CHECKLIST for Tuesday, January 12 2021

  1. Remember !  Take attendance.  Add trips, churches, service hours, etc. for meetings missed.  Counsel and sign   off advancement.  Open with the Oath and law

2.  Call patrol members not present !

  • Wolf :little pantry, Phoenix :PLC host, Panther: Service Patrol, Fox: West Bank  .
  • •Little pantry: conduct a in patrol food drive to fill the little pantry with non-perishable Foods note  no glass bottles.

 •PLC host help with organizing the Materials Needed for PLC the meeting.

•Service : Stomp cans as needed. Straighten up Garage, clean T48 Office, handle patrol notebook

 •West Bank   Please pick up branches and trash, rake leaves and clip or dig up weeds, bad vines, and little privet bushes. Leave the periwinkle vines. DON’T MOW OR OTHERWISE HURT THE ENGLISH IVY !! 

Good Turn part of “West Bank:” Use rakes and spread mulch to fill in holes in Children’s Playground.

Klondike February 19,20,21 CDC!

Please let Mrs. White know a approximate team number by listing scouts that will be signing up.  If you do not have 5 scouts that want to participate Troop patrol’s can combine.

When planning patrol activities: Please remember social distancing and wearing your mask is a great way to stay healthy BUT is also mandatory for our Troop Please monitor numbers staying under 10 at any indoor patrol outing; we can  have NO more then 25 in a group when outside we need take action to make sure that everyone is working to follow these requirements when planning patrol activities please create a trip sheet ( all trips must be approved by Mr. White

PLC January 19 CHPC 6:30: Please make sure that every patrol has a patrol leadership representative in attendance.

January 15-18 WINTER CAMP;

January 19 : BACK TO COVID NORMAL meetings at CHPC.

PATROL MEETING CHECKLIST for Tuesday, December 29th, 2020 

Use your time wisely planning for upcoming events. This is an opportunity for fellowship and will help the overall success of the patrol.

1. All patrols should resume using traditional paper attendance sheet. Updated copies are in yellow patrol binder cabinet, then return to bottom slot. Add trips, churches, service hours, etc. for meetings missed. Counsel and sign off advancement. Call patrol members not present. *At this time this is very important!

2 Use a Trip sheet for planning all patrol activities, clear all outings with Julieann White. Vein Take action for all updates: follow these requirements. Please remember if you travel out of the Tri cities or are not feeling well or have been around anyone that is not feeling well; please do not attend patrol activities : please do not hesitate to reach out to Julieann White with questions regarding our COVID policy questions

Service:

Flaming Arrow: Service Patrol for December. Thank you for straighten up the garage is straighten up with stomping cans.

Wolf : Little Pantry New to Troop 48 the little pantry:How do I stock the Little Free Pantry? What do I stock; stock does not turn over frequently, monitor cans for bulging and leaking, especially during extreme temperatures. Also, if your, No glass or perishable Items

TROOP Council Activities: to plan for :

• Sequoyah Council has opened class registration for 2021 summer camp the class schedule which returns to the historical arrangement of three slots in the morning and three in the afternoon (plus Mile Swim). No evening classes are being offered. Scouts can sign up for classes before paying their deposit with Mr.Miller Sign up for Classes with Mr. Hasler.

•KLONDIKE February 19-21 CDC NOW IS THE TIME TO START TRAINING!!

Let’s plan to keep that plaque!

Use your meeting Time for advancements and working on merit badge. Leadership is available in each room to help with skill development if you need another adult leadership representative others can be located by the youth bar behind the office.

Mr. Hasler has provided each patrol with advancement needs working together helps make for a stronger more efficient Patrol and helps everyone to be successful. Klondike is coming are you ready!!

Camp Davy Crockett Trail Days: Service Opportunity for Patrols and Individuals

Help clear and restore the trails at Camp Davy Crockett!

Assistant Ranger Matt Combs is leading the effort the with goal of having all 1800 acres of camp accessible to Scouts.

Camping Available

Stay for the day or the whole weekend!
  • Saturday January 9th: 8:30 AM – 5 PM
  • Saturday January 23rd: 8:30 AM – 5 PM
  • Saturday January 30th: 8:30 AM – 5 PM
  • Saturday February 6th: 8:30 AM – 5 PM
  • Saturday February 13th: 8:30 AM – 5 PM
  • Saturday February 27th: 8:30 AM – 5 PM
  • Saturday March 6th: 8:30 AM – 5 PM
  • Saturday March 13th: 8:30 AM – 5 PM
  • Saturday March 27th: 8:30 AM – 5 PM

Open to individuals and to units.

Bring your own food/work gloves/ clothing.

Note: Participation in Camp Davy Crockett Trail Days counts for conservation service hours toward Life rank or Camping MB Req 9c… but only if a trip report is posted on the T48.org website and attendance reported to Mr. Hasler and Mrs. Reed.

Hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas, hopefully you all got outside and enjoyed some outdoor activities in the snow. Remember to be available to help your neighbors who may not be able to shovel their own snow. 
Set up a zoom and be sure to include our new Scouts that are still looking for a patrol . A email has been sent with there information. 
Each patrol has a ASPL that should be available to help you if you or if you  need to reach out for any reason to myself I’m happy to help .  

• VOTE for merit badges!! Troop 48 is planning the first every OMBO operation Merit Badge OpportunityJanuary 23, we need your feedback to plan accordingly.
